Cobras raise money toward breast cancer research

During the Cochrane Cobras game against the Chestermere Cowboys, the team donned pink socks, as well as other pink attire to show support and raise funds for breast cancer awareness.

Cobras co-head coach Rob McNab said the game, as well as fundraising was a huge success.

“We raised close to $500 to go to the breast cancer society in Calgary,” McNab said.

“One third was already going to breast cancer, but the team also donated our third and the winner also donated their third, so all the money is going towards cancer research. Big kudos to our staff, for really getting after it, it’s not a lot but every bit helps.”
