Riders cruise for a good cause
This year’s Ride for Sight will be taking place June 10-12, with motorcyclists meeting at the Bearspaw Lions Hall at 8 a.m. June 11.
The riders have a hearty breakfast then cruise out to Stoney Nakoda Resort and Casino at 10 a.m. on their way to raising funds for for vision research. Last year, 120 motorcyclists took part.
The Alberta Ride for Sight fundraiser took in more than $150,000 in 2010 and just under $1 million across Canada.
To date the ride has made more than $18 million in support of The Foundation Fighting Blindness.
