Family Day celebration planned for Feb. 21

All of Cochrane is invited to come out and celebrate families as the eighth annual Cochrane Community Family Day Event gears up for Feb. 21 at the Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre.

Activities kick off at 11 a.m. and go to 4 p.m. and include public skating (bring skates and helmet), gymnastics, sport demonstrations, face painting and sport club registration.

The puck drops at 2 p.m. for a hockey game that will see the Cochrane RCMP take on the Cochrane Emergency Services department.

Admission for the event is a food bank donation in support of the Cochrane Activettes.

Jason’s Cookhouse will be open for lunch.

There will also be tours of the new Seniors’ on the Bow Centre, which hopes to open sometime in the coming weeks.
