After adorning homes over the holidays, the time has come once again for Christmas trees to disappear until next year.
Both the Town of Cochrane and the County of Rocky View are offering to take unwanted trees off residents hands and recycle them.

Cochrane will base it’s recycling center out of the Mitford West parking lot, with drop-off available until early February 2010.

Rocky View County residents can drop trees off at the Langdon, Irricana and Bragg Creek transfer sites, during regular businesses hours, from Dec. 27 to Jan 20. Bow Point Nursery in Springbank will also be accepting trees for recycling. More drop off points may be announced at a later date.

All trees dropped off at any of the above locations must be free of decorations, lights, tinsel and netting.

For more information on the Town of Cochrane’s program call 403-851-2590, or for information on Rocky View County’s program call 403-230-1401.
