Negotiations led to a peaceful ending between the police and a suicidal man.

During the morning of Nov. 16, Cochrane RCMP responded to a complaint about a depressed man at his residence with a rifle.

Cochrane RCMP contacted and deployed the Calgary RCMP’s Emergency Response Team to assist with the call.

Negotiations were made and after a short time the man surrendered to police.

The man’s name is not being released and police say no one else at the residence was in danger during the incident.
