Trick or food donation

Some Cochrane teens will be going door to door Halloween night, but not in search of candy.

The Cochrane Youth Council and the students from Canada World Youth will be trick or treating this Oct. 31 to collect food for the food bank.
Goblins for Goods is a joint venture between the two groups who will blanket the community between 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. in search of non-perishable goods. (more…)

Deputy Sine

Brenda Sine is now the official deputy mayor of Cochrane until April 26, 2010.
Council has been rotating the position since they were elected in 2007.
The deputy mayor’s role is to perform mayoralty duties if Mayor Truper McBride is unavailable.

Town scores ‘B’ on report card

Aging seniors’ centre needs ‘major repairs’

The current senior’s centre in town is in really rough shape.
