For the past 15 years Cochrane-area women have taken time to celebrate and enjoy simply being together at an annual gathering called The Tapestry of Women.

The theme of the Nov. 7 event is Exploring the Path to Balance, and will include an interactive drum circle workshop, a healing touch workshop and a talk from Joy Bews of GEMS of Hope — a Canadian organization  promotes self-sufficiency of women in developing countries.

Aroha Crowchild,  founder of Crowchild Academy, will share her life stories through song and dance.

Early registration is recommended as the event sells out quickly.

Tickets are $40 until Nov. 1 and after that $45, and includes breakfast and lunch.

Register by phone, or drop by the Family and Community Support Services office.

For more information call 403-851-2250.
