Pipers skill recognized

Members of Cochrane’s  Men of Vision Pipes & Drums are piping a happy tune after several members were recognized for their skill at the Calgary Highland Games, Sept. 5.

The pipers competed in several categories, with a rating system of Grades 1 through 5 — with 1 being pipers at a professional level and five being novice pipers.
Kathy Rae won first place in Grade 2 Piobaireachd, as well as sixth place in Grade 2 MSR, and sixth place in Grade 2 Jig.

Troina Shea placed first in Grade 5 Piobaireachd, with Lenette Edison placing second, and Dave Botkin placing fifth. Shea also placed fourth in Grade 5 2/4 March, and Edison took fifth in the event.

Edison placed fourth in Grade 5 6/8 March.
